Information we collect
Account and identity: name, email, authentication identifiers, settings, invitations, and support communications. Project content: prompts, voice recordings you choose to submit, transcripts, files, task data, approvals, receipts, and content retrieved from connected services. Usage and device: feature events, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser details, logs, performance, fraud, and security signals. Commercial: plan, usage totals, invoices, and payment-processor identifiers; Genesis does not receive full card numbers. Connections: provider names, granted scopes, account identifiers, and encrypted authorization material where required.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you; provide project memory, AI, voice, files, connected actions, approvals, and receipts; process payments; meter usage; secure and debug the service; prevent abuse; provide support; meet legal obligations; and improve reliability and user experience. We do not use customer project content to train a Genesis-owned foundation model. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Legal bases
Where GDPR or similar law applies, our bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with law, and consent where required—for example, optional non-essential tracking or certain connected-service access. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
How information is disclosed
We disclose information to service providers listed on our Subprocessors page; connected services at your direction; collaborators you invite; professional advisers under confidentiality; authorities when legally required; and a successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate protections. We do not give providers broader rights than needed to deliver their service.
AI and voice processing
Prompts, relevant project context, and output may be sent to the model provider selected for a task. Audio may be streamed to a speech provider to transcribe or synthesize voice. The app should show which capability is active. Provider handling, locations, and current roles are described on the AI Transparency and Subprocessors pages.
Retention
We retain account and project information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After verified deletion, we target deletion or de-identification within 30 days, except limited backups that age out, security records, approval/payment records, tax records, legal holds, and other information we must keep. Billing and consent evidence may be retained for the legally required period. Specific project retention controls will be shown in the product as they become available.
Your choices and rights
Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent; opt out of sale or sharing; limit use of sensitive personal information; and appeal a decision. You may also have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. Use Your Privacy Choices, in-app settings, or email hi@genesis.build. We may verify identity and authorized-agent authority before acting.
Global Privacy Control
The public site detects the Global Privacy Control signal and records a device-local preference. Genesis currently does not sell personal information or use cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not a signal is present. If those practices ever change, a recognized opt-out preference signal will be honored as required. Use Your Privacy Choices for an account-level request or receipt.
International transfers
Genesis is based in the United States and providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and supplementary measures appropriate to the transfer.
Children
The service is for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Security and changes
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards described on the Security page, but no system is completely secure. We will update this policy at least annually and when practices materially change. Material changes will be announced before they take effect where required.
